The construction of a Smruthi Mandapam with Yajnashala to mark the 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati started today at Vellinezhi Saraswathi Vidyanikethan, an associate of Chennai D.A.V School and run by Lekharam Foundation.

Vanaprasthi Sri. Baleshwar Muni performed the Pillar fixing ceremony for Smruthi Mandapam. School Committee Secretary Sri. K. P. Balakrishnan presided over the subsequent meeting. Sri. Baleshwar Muni delivered the keynote address. Lekharam Foundation Director Sri. K. M. Rajan Mimamsak presented the Brief history of Saraswathi Vidyanikethan and construction plan of Vidyalaya. Sri. O. Gopalakrishnan (Member of Vellinezhi Panchayat) and Sri. Mohan Kumar delivered the blessing speech. Saraswathi Vidyanikethan Headmistress Smt. Rajini welcomed all. Treasurer Sri. P. Sivasankaran paid vote of thanks. Former School committee presidents Sri. Telakad Ravi Namboothiri and Sri. V Ramakrishnan Master and School Patron & Hindu Aikyavedi State Secretary Shri. P. N. Sreeraman, Vidyalaya Mathru Samithi President Smt. Divya, School Welfare Committee President Sri. Ramesh Madathil, Veda Gurukulam Chief Acharya Acharya Akhilesh Arya, Sri. Haridas Kottarattil, Brahmachari Sasthrusharman and many others participated in the function.
