Veda Gurukulam, Karalmanna, Kerala starts two residential courses (VYAKARANACHARYA AND VAIDIKA DHARMA PRAVESHIKA) in collaboration with the “MAHARSHI DAYANANDA SARASWATHI CHAIR of MD University, Rohtak from April 2024 onwards.
*The studies, food and accommodation will be free of costs for the selected students.
“A written commitment from the students and their guardians will be obtained stating that on successful completion of the course, the students will be willing to work for the cause of Vedic Dharma and enlightenment of the Society for which our Veda Gurukulam is conducting these courses free of cost.
VYAKARANACHARYA
This course covers Arsh Padhathi i.e. Ashtadhyayi, Prathama Vrithi, Kashika, Mahabhashya, literature of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
(a) Age should be 10 yrs as on 1st April 2024
(b) Read and write in Sanskrit language is preferable.
(c) Fully residential course. Students should stay at Veda Gurukulam and follow the rules and regulations of Veda Gurukulam.
(d) Classes and accomodation for girls students will be at Lekhram Kanya Gurukulam, Vellinezhi.
COURSE DURATION
Total 5 years (6 months duration of a series of 10 connected courses in phases 1,2…10 etc.). On successful completion of first course the students will be eligible to next higher courses. On successful completion each course students will be eligible to get a certificate from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi Chair of MD University, Rohtak
Karalmanna Veda Gurukulam will issue a Certificate and confer a title “Vyakaranacharya” to the students who successfully complete the course.
VAIDIKA DHARMA PRAVESHIKA
This course covers the Aryoddeshya Rathnamala, Vyavaharabhanu, Sathyarth Prakash, Rigvedadi Bhashyabhoomika, Puna Pravachan, Sanskar Vidhi etc. of Maharshi Dayananda Saraswathi. A brief study of Vedic literature, epics like Valmiki Ramayana, Mahabharata, Neethi Sasthras, Manusmrithi, Pancha Maha Yagyas, Shodasha Sanskar, Comparitive study of religions, Martial arts like Kaları (a traditional Kerala martial art) will also be the part of syllabus.
COURSE DURATION
One year. Six months duration of two phases (Basic and Final). On successful completion of the basic course (6 months duration) the students are eligible to get admitted to next higher course on this subject. Karalmanna Veda Gurukulam will issue a Certificate and confer a title “Vaidik” to the students who successfully complete the course.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
Malayalam, English and Hindi.
